Public services (ie. education and healthcare) should NOT be run like businesses. The purpose of businesses is to make profits and the purpose of services should be to provide a quality service. Thanks for coming to my TED talk!
It used to be that way, at least for hospitals and major medical. You used to have locally run non-profit or government-run hospitals. Now there are so many private hospitals out there and they dominate everything.
